    Hot-dip galvanizing is a form of galvanization.It is the process of coating steel grating with a thin zinc layer,by passing the metal through a molten bath of zinc Mean coating thickness is 70μm when steel bars range from 3mm to 5mm in thickness.

    Packing of steel grating

    Panels are bundle in a way most appropriate for handle by means of fork-lift or crane rope:two square lumbers are placed on the top and bottom of the bundle respectively. Six or four long bolts of M8 or M10 penetrate through the openings of the gratings and fasten the panels up.For the steel gratings of 3mm thick bearing bars,four pieces of angle steel are added between the bottom square lumber and the panel,to prevent from deformation when hoisting.Besides,special packaging standard as customer’s requirement are also available.

    Installation of steel grating

    For installation, two fastening methods can be used welding or using saddle clips, For permanent and non-removed installations, the steel gratings are tack-welded to supporting steel. As for the location for welding please see the scheme below, At the four corners of panel, the first bearing bar is tack-welded to the support member with 3mm min filet weld x20r min long.Saddle clips, which have such advantages as not destroying zinc coal and easy removing, are available. Each panel shall use at least four saddle clips For the larger panels preferably a few more clips are used to fix to the available support members.
